I really like this app! Works very well; but it won't let me select a species even though there is a section for that. It also seems to glitch a little. Hopefully it can be fixed in a future update!

Edited: as of May 2025, the app is now fully functional again! It's back to being super convenient, efficient, and easy to use original review: unfortunately even fully updated, this app is now completely unusable on android. Totally unresponsive. If I can manage to get to the page for one of the nest sites, the "start attempt" button never works, or any other data entry options

What a great way to teach phenology to my grandchildren as we wait for the birds to come back each year. It also contributes to scientists studying the ranges of birds and many other activities. I've used this program and the other programs from Cornell to demonstrate environmental changes that occurred after 60ft Norway maple was struck by lightening and was removed. It changed the periods for the appearance of flowers, berries, and food sources that "my" nesting birds.

UPDATE: Have used this app for the last 5 yrs. Started this season, and app suddenly does not work AT ALL! Freezes up immediately upon opening, sometimes crashes. Re-installing does not help. Very disappointed. ☹️ OLDER: I love the Nest Watch program, and the new design of the app is much more intuitive. It also seems to run more smoothly on my phone. Samsung S24 FE running Android 14.

I'm using a samsung phone to record my data and every time I enter data for a nest it crashes. It saves the data 1 out of 3 times per nest attempt, and it's driving me crazy. Please get this fixed!

I cannot get past the first screen, it tells me to swipe, and I just can't seem to swipe it far enough to cancel the page
